Alcohol Committee Focuses On Cold Beer Sales In Indiana

A special committee is reviewing Indiana’s alcohol laws.

Monday’s meeting focused on cold beer sales.

Currently convenience stores can only sell beer at room temperature, and though some want to change that, many spoke out against it.

Speakers who do not want alcohol to be more conveniently available included alcohol counselors and parents of kids killed by drunk drivers.

The committee is scheduled to meet four more times to review the alcohol code.
