Gov. Holcomb Authorizes Efforts to Support Hurricane Irma Response

Governor Eric Holcomb has authorized the deployment of an Indiana Department of Homeland Security Incident Management Assistance Team to Florida in response to Hurricane Irma.

The eight-person team deployed to Tallahassee, Florida on Monday to provide support with operations, planning, logistics, incident command and other duties.

The team will be deployed for 14 days, or until demobilized.

The team includes personnel from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, Indiana University and the Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency.
