New Requirements Approved For Indiana Class Of 2023

The Indiana State Board of Education has approved new graduation requirements that will go into effect with the class of 2023.

The Board voted 7-4 Wednesday to approve the Graduation Pathways requirements.

Students will need to prove they are ready for higher education through various means and show they are employable by having an after school job or volunteer experience.

The chairman of the Graduation Pathways Panel says the new requirements are designed to provide students with what he calls a “diploma plus”.
