Two people, including a Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy, were injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of two Clay County Roads.
Indiana State Police say 64-year-old Roger Curl of Clay City failed to yield at the intersection and collided with a patrol car driven by Clay County Deputy Sheriff 62-year-old David Gates of Brazil.
Gates was enroute to another accident at the time and had his lights and siren activated.
Both men were taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for treatment of pain, contusions, and abrasions.
Curl was cited for Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle.
