The health department strongly advises parents to enforce social distancing with their children.

Dubois County Health Officer, Dr. Ted Waflart says they are receiving reports that social gatherings and parties are still occurring particularly in our high school and college age kids.

Waflart says everyone has a responsibility to follow the measures that have been put in place in order to stop or reduce the transmission of this disease.

He says parents and guardians need to educate their children on the importance of staying home and social distancing, washing hands, and getting information from reliable sources,

The health department continues to advise that staying home is critical to reducing the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
