Indiana Doctor Who Performed Abortion On 10-Year-Old Fined by Licensing Board

An Indiana doctor who performed an abortion on a 10-year-old rape victim from Ohio is being fined.

The Indiana Medical Licensing Board voted Thursday to fine Dr. Caitlin Bernard 3-thousand dollars and issued her a letter of reprimand.

The board found Bernard violated patient privacy laws when she spoke to a reporter about the case.

Though Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita was asking the board to suspend Dr. Bernard’s license, they rejected counts that she failed to report child abuse and was unfit to practice.
