Fifteen ICE detainees are now believed to be housed at the Miami Correction Facility.
The Indiana Department of Correction said the facility would receive the detainees Wednesday.
By the end of this week, up to 100 ICE detainees could be at the facility.
The detainees will all be men and could come from anywhere in the U.S., according to authorities.
The Department of Correction is requesting funding to upgrade the prison to house detainees- plus, charging the federal government a per diem for each ICE detainee held there.
