The Indiana Department of Transportation says an overnight road closure is scheduled to begin today (Thursday) on US 41 near Fort Branch in Gibson County.
The project had been delayed due to the weather.
The closure will occur between the hours of 5:00 pm and 4:00 am between County Roads 550 South and 600 South and will allow for an emergency pipe replacement project.
The road will be open to traffic during non-work hours.
The project is expected to take four days to complete, depending on the weather.
The official detour will be State Road 64 to I-69 to State Road 168.
Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure.
