The Viva El Birdos podcast: Episode 41 Interview with Josh Jacobs

By Jake Wood Nov 3, 2025 | 10:00 AM

This week, Jake goes one-on-one with the co-host of the “dealin’ the Cards” podcast, Josh Jacobs! We talk about Josh’s early impressions of Chaim Bloom, what his influence has been in investing in the infrastructure of the organization and bringing in new names like Jacob Buffa from Houston and Joe Douglas from Pittsburgh, as well as key dates we’re keeping an eye on early in the offseason, the NTC trio, and the quartet of lefty bats rumored to be available.

We also had the chance near the end to highlight a very cool and unique opportunity that Josh and his show can put together every year, and it’s their charity live stream they host at 314 Sportscards and Collectibles in Olivette, Missouri. All proceeds went to Adam Wainwright’s “Big League Impact” foundation. Last year, names like Derrick Goold and Bernie Miklasz were featured guests. This year, Brendan Donovan will be one of the featured guests, and all proceeds will go to the Kaufman Fund, which supports STL area Veterans and children who are at risk. We will provide more information on where you can find this charity stream, and if you wish to donate to this worthwhile cause at a later date, we will pass along more information once it’s available.

Josh chose “Slide” by Frank Ocean as his “walk up” song.
