A bill to create a new casino license for a gambling house in Fort Wayne is now before the Indiana House.
House Public Policy Committee chairman Ethan Manning says the hearing held Thursday is the starting point of the overall discussion as there are four or five competing casino bills coming.
Some of the testimony heard was about transferring an existing casino license from southern to northern Indiana instead of creating a new one.
The committee will resume work on the bill in January.
