Indiana Conservation Voters and the Citizens Action Coalition have unveiled a new Ratepayer Relief Plan to address Indiana’s growing energy affordability crisis.
The organizations are urging lawmakers to provide immediate relief, noting recent reports predict electric bills will jump by over 16 percent next year.
The plan proposes both short-term aid to prevent shutoffs and long-term reforms, aiming to prohibit monopoly utilities from passing unnecessary costs onto families already struggling with high bills.
