Much colder weather is moving into the area this weekend with low temperatures Saturday and Sunday night around 1 to 2 below zero.
While Saturday’s high will be around 27, it will be near 9 on Sunday.
Prolonged exposure to the teens-level cold can quickly lead to severe injuries, including hypothermia and frostbite.
Doctors advise everyone to use winter emergency kits for safety and ensure they wear warm, dry clothing when going outside.
If frostbite is suspected, seek medical help immediately.
