Authorities are identifying the suspect in the deadly shooting on the Kentucky State University campus Tuesday.

Frankfort police say Jacob Lee Bard, of Evansville, Indiana, has been arrested on murder and first-degree assault charges.

Investigators believe Bard is the person who shot two students in the South Campus area shortly after 3 p.m. local time, killing one victim and critically injuring the other.

Bard is not a student at KSU.

No details on a possible motive for the shooting have been made available so far.

Classes at the university are cancelled and school leaders are making counseling and support services available for students, faculty, and staff.
