A Mount Carmel, Illinois man is facing alcohol related charges following a two-vehicle crash resulting in serious injury.
It happened on Friday night on State Road 64 near the Wabash River Bridge in Gibson County.
The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says a van and a pick-up truck collided leaving one person trapped in the van.
That person was later extricated and taken to an Evansville area hospital for treatment of a serious injury.
The driver of the pick-up truck, 25-year-old Zachary Whittler of Mount Carmel, was arrested for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
