Illinois AG Sues Over Trump Administration Cutting Over $600M In Federal Public Health Grants

Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul, joined by attorneys general from California, Colorado, and Minnesota, is suing the Trump administration over cuts in Public Health grants exceeding $600 million.

The group argues the funding is essential for tracking disease outbreaks, improving data systems, and supporting public health jobs.

Illinois could lose more than $100 million, leading to significant layoffs.
