The Indiana Department of Transportation says alternating lane closures on State Road 61 in Pike and Knox Counties are scheduled to begin on or around Tuesday, March 3rd.
The lane closures will allow for a bridge deck overlay project on the bridges over the White River.
Work will begin in the southbound lanes followed by work in northbound lanes.
Work is expected to last through the end of October, depending on the weather.
During this project traffic will be controlled by a temporary traffic signal.
One lane of travel will always remain open.
