Indoor Marijuana Growing Operation Found in Sullivan Co.

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the details of a recent drug investigation in which deputies found an indoor marijuana growing operation while searching a home in Hymera.

A total of 31 marijuana plants and about three pounds of psilocybin mushrooms were recovered.

Officers also found eighteen firearms inside the residence.

The occupant, identified as 41-year-old Charles Spiker, is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a prior felony conviction.

Spiker is facing charges of Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Controlled Substances), Dealing in Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with a Prior Conviction, Dealing in and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
