Employees of Daviess Community Hospital met with officials of Deaconess Health System and DCH during two town hall sessions Wednesday concerning DCH’s new management services agreement with Deaconess Health System and what it means for patients, staff and the community.
They discussed how the agreement, effective September 28th, will strengthen care locally while maintaining DCH’s local ownership and governance.
Daviess Community Hospital CEO Justin Harris emphasized several priorities that staff will see in the coming months:
They include more connected specialty care through collaboration with Deaconess sister hospitals, operational support from Deaconess’ management team while DCH retains its name, local identity and governance, and expanded in-network options for employees, with Deaconess providers included on the DCH employee health plan.
