Boil Order LIFTED for Vincennes Water Utilities & Knox Co. Water Customers

Vincennes Water Utilities announced Saturday afternoon it has lifted a boil order issued Friday afternoon due to a high E. Coli laboratory result detected during routine water quality testing.

A boil order issued for Knox County Water customers, which purchases water from Vincennes, was also lifted.

In a statement, the city said the six locations that initially failed testing were resampled and all samples returned absent of E. coli, leading officials to believe the initial results were due to a sampling or laboratory error.”
