Indiana State Police say West Baden’s Assistant Police Chief was arrested Tuesday on two counts of felony official misconduct, one count of felony battery and one count of misdemeanor battery.
The arrest of 60-year-old Thomas Burkhardt of Dubois follows an investigation that began in April.
Burkhardt is being held without bond in the Orange County Jail.
His initial court appearance will be held sometime in the next few days in Orange Circuit Court.
