Hammond remains a possible new home for the NFL’s Chicago Bears.
The team reaffirmed they are planning to leave Chicago, saying they have exhausted every opportunity to stay there.
The Bears say they are considering moving to Arlington Heights in Illinois or going over the border to Hammond in northwest Indiana.
Hoosier lawmakers have approved a deal that would help the Bears build a new domed stadium.
