Gibson Co.: Indianapolis Man Arrested for Theft of Dog

An Indianapolis man faces a theft charge after allegedly taking a dog from a vehicle at the Pilot Travel Center in Gibson County.

The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year-old Gregory Morton took the Mastiff and left while the owners were inside the convenience store.

The owners had spoken with Morton before going inside.

With help from the victims, a Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s deputy found Morton and the dog at the Clarion Pointe Hotel, about six miles south of the Pilot station.
