Former Terre Haute funeral home owner Gary Greiner is facing 37 charges, including fraud, theft and corrupt business influence.
Greiner was arrested Wednesday after investigators recovered 59 sets of remains from properties tied to his business.
Prosecutors say he took more than $552,000 in prepaid funeral payments from families.
His funeral director’s license has been revoked, and prosecutors say more charges could follow.
