Washington residents are being asked for assistance in putting an end to a string of arson fires over the last four months.
The Washington Fire and Police Departments, along with the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office, are investigating approximately 15 arson fires.
They’re urging residents to check their security cameras — widen the detection range if possible, and make sure they’re covering your whole property, not just the front door.
If you notice a vehicle that doesn’t belong, someone acting suspicious, or anything that feels off, officials say: speak up.
Fifteen times, families and homes have been put at risk — and they warn the next fire could be worse.
