Vigo County Superior Court Judge Matthew Sheehan has received a formal public admonition from the Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications over severe case delays.
The ethics panel reprimanded Sheehan for taking three years to issue a final ruling in a divorce case, during which time one of the parties passed away.
Sheehan admitted to violating judicial conduct rules requiring prompt performance.
He accepted the public admonition to resolve the matter without formal charges.
