The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office issued 47 tickets and made one arrest during a stoplight enforcement blitz on U.S. 41.
Four officers conducted the September 24th operation from County Road 100 North south to the truck stops.
Deputies wrote 35 tickets for running red lights, four for speeding, three for expired plates, one for driving while suspended, and four for other violations.
One person was arrested on cocaine and marijuana possession charges.
The sheriff’s office says deputies will continue monitoring county stoplights and urges drivers to make complete stops.
