The caller demands compliance with vague requests and threatens arrest if instructions are not followed.
The sheriff’s office reminds the public law enforcement will never demand immediate action or payment over the phone.
Callers from the sheriff’s office will always identify themselves properly and provide verifiable contact information.
If you receive such a threatening call, do not give out personal information or comply with demands.
Hang up immediately and report it to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office at 812-482-3522.
