Good Samaritan Adjusting Office Hours and Services for Solar Eclipse

Due to the expected increase in visitors coming to Vincennes for Monday’s solar eclipse, Good Samaritan Hospital will close many of its provider offices and hospital departments that day.

Hospital Chief Operating Officer Adam Thacker says the action is being taken to ensure patients are safe since roadways are expected to be congested causing potential problems for patients making it to provider appointments.

Good Samaritan’s Emergency Department will be ready to treat patients with urgent or life-threatening conditions, severe injuries and sudden changes in chronic conditions.

The hospital’s Convenient Care Clinic located at 18-13 Willow Street, will have additional staffing and resources available.

The clinic will be accepting walk-in patients from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

In Bicknell, EMS will have a first aid station set up in the former radiology suite at 510 West 11th Street. Patients with minor injuries may utilize this first aid station.

EMS will also have its Mobile Wellness Unit available for first aid.
