Students will no longer be allowed to use a cell phone in class by law starting in the fall.
Governor Eric Holcomb has signed a bill from the state Senate that teachers hope will have a positive effect on students.
Phones would be allowed if they are part of a lesson and can be used in an emergency such as a school shooting.
