An injunction on Indiana’s near-total abortion ban is being upheld.
The Indiana Court of Appeals’ decision affirmed a lower court ruling that those with a religious objection to the abortion ban should be exempt from it.
The ban went into effect in August of 2023 after being upheld by the Indiana Supreme Court.
This injunction could be further challenged, bringing the ban before the state’s highest court again.
