Indiana property tax bills are arriving in mailboxes this week.
They were mailed out on Friday across the state.
The Spring installment of your property taxes will be due on Friday, May 10th while the Fall installment will be due November 13th.
Property tax payments should be made to your county treasurer.
The Daviess County Treasurer’s Office is open from 8:00 until 4:00 PM.
If you mail your payment in, and want a receipt, include a stamped self-addressed envelope.
For a fee, you can pay your property taxes online at govtechtaxpro.com.
If you fail to pay property taxes by the due date, a penalty will be applied.
For those who pay the tax within 30 days of the due date and do not owe back taxes on the same property, the penalty is 5 percent of the unpaid tax.
If payment is not made within 30 days, the penalty increases to 10 percent of the unpaid tax.
