State Police: Don’t Stop on Sides of Roads to Watch Eclipse

Indiana State Police are reminding you not to stop on the side of the road to watch the solar eclipse if you are driving when it happens.

The path of totality is expected to pass over Indiana including places like Vincennes, Washington Evansville, Indianapolis, and Muncie.

State troopers are out in full force today in what State Police Sgt. John Perrine describes as an “all hands-on deck” situation.

Troopers will make sure you keep moving if they catch you stopped on the roadways while the eclipse passes over Indiana.
