Wrong Way Driver Arrested for Resisting and Biting Police Officer

A Corydon woman is facing numerous charges, including resisting and Battery on a Police Officer, following an incident on I-64 late Wednesday night.

Stop sticks were used to disable the car of 33-year-old Lauren Jones who was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes.

The pursuit went through Warrick, Spencer, Dubois, and Perry Counties before coming to an end.

During her arrest, Jones bit an Indiana State Trooper who had to seek medical attention.

In addition to Resisting Law Enforcement in a Vehicle and Battery on a Police Officer, Jones is facing charges of Obstruction of Justice, Resisting Law Enforcement, Criminal Mischief, Disorderly Conduct, Reckless Driving, and Obstructing Traffic.
