Gov. Braun and, Indiana State Police Tout Major Public Safety Wins in Southern Indiana

Governor Mike Braun joined Indiana State Police in Sellersburg today to highlight major public safety gains across Southern Indiana in the first six months of 2026, including the dismantling of interstate drug trafficking networks, the seizure of narcotics and firearms, and dozens of arrests of violent criminals and drug dealers.

In less than six months, Indiana State Police operations in Southern Indiana led to 84 arrests, the seizure of more than 48 pounds of methamphetamine, the removal of more than two dozen firearms from criminal hands, the recovery of more than $50,000 in illicit cash, and the disruption of major drug pipelines from Louisville, Cincinnati, and Phoenix.
