Highway to be Named After Tell City Police Officer Killed in the Line of Duty

Tell City Police Sergeant Heather Glenn, who was killed in the line of duty, will be honored with a dedication ceremony renaming a portion of State Road 237 near Perry County Memorial Hospital after her.

Sgt. Glenn was fatally shot while attempting to arrest a domestic violence suspect at the hospital.

The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, July 8th at 10:00 a.m. CDT at City Hall Park in Tell City.

During the event, a memorial monument honoring Sgt. Glenn will be formally unveiled, and a portion of State Road 237 will be officially commemorated through a highway renaming in her memory.
