A Fort Branch man is behind bars following a midnight hit-and-run that quickly turned into a DUI arrest.
Just after midnight Sunday, Gibson County Dispatch received reports of a hit-and-run on West Locust Street.
Minutes later, the Owensville Town Marshal located the suspect’s red GMC Yukon running outside a home on South Center Street.
The driver, 43-year-old Andrew Miles, showed clear signs of intoxication, and the vehicle had damage matching the crash scene.
Miles was booked into the Gibson County Detention Center on charges of OWI Endangerment with Refusal and Leaving the Scene of a Crash, along with a citation for driving without insurance.
