A proposed set of rules for AI data centers drew a packed crowd at this month’s Warrick County Area Plan Commission meeting, with nearly 200 people showing up to weigh in.
Some residents urged county leaders to block data centers altogether, saying they worry about higher electric and water use, noise, pollution and the loss of farmland.
Others said the projects could bring jobs and apprenticeship opportunities, especially in the construction trades, and warned against putting restrictions on future development.
