The Indiana Department of Transportation says State Road 48 between Shelburn and Jasonville in Sullivan County is scheduled to be closed Monday, July 27th for a chip and seal road maintenance project.
The highway will be closed between U.S. 41 and Fry Street.
This work is expected to take a week to complete, depending on the weather.
The official detour will be U.S. 41 to State Road 54 to State Road 59.
Local traffic will have access during the project and will be controlled by a flagger.
