Two people are facing charges after being accused of kidnapping a four-year-old child.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a home Sunday night concerning a report of an abduction.
The caller said a person got into their home, attacked them, and drove off with the child.
Investigators say the mom took the child but had no custodial rights.
Deputies pulled over Lena Volpe and Alexandra Porter in Bloomington and arrested both.
They are facing charges of Burglary of a Dwelling, Kidnapping with the Victim Less Than 14-Years-old, Battery with Bodily Injury, and Battery without Injury.
The child was sent back to their other family.
