A Heat Advisory will be in effect from 2 p.m. this afternoon to 8 p.m. this evening for Vigo, Clay, Owen, Sullivan, Greene, Monroe, Knox, Daviess, Martin, and Lawrence Counties.
Heat index values up to 105 are expected.
Pike County is also under a Heat Advisory until 9:00 p.m.
Heat index values of 103 to 109 degrees are expected.
Be sure to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
