A near-total lunar eclipse is happening later tonight into tomorrow morning.
All phases of the eclipse will be visible to those of us in Indiana and to most of the continental U.S., barring heavy cloud cover.
The latest forecast for Daviess County calls for clear skies tonight.
The Earth’s shadow will start to cover the lunar surface shortly after 10:30 p.m. Eastern and the peak will come just before 12:15 a.m., when over 96 percent of the moon will be in shadow.
The event will end around 3 a.m.
