Elderly Washington Man Found Dead in Neighbor’s Swimming Pool

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says the body of an elderly Washington man was recovered from his neighbor’s swimming pool Thursday morning.

First responders were called to the Decker residence at 48-31 South State Road 57 shortly before 11:00 a.m.

The sheriff’s office says preliminary information indicates that 79-year-old Melvin Robinson, who lived across the highway from the Decker residence, may have become disoriented and entered the pool sometime after 9:15 a.m.
