The Indiana Supreme Court says State Senator Spencer Deery was a three-vote Republican primary winner over Trump-endorsed challenger Paula Copenhaver.
The court issued its decision about three hours after hearing arguments on Thursday over whether the Indiana Recount Commission acted properly in disallowing six ballots that were all cast for Deery and lacked a county clerkâs stamp or signature.
The Recount Commission initially had Copenhaver as the primary winner.
Now, Deery will face Democrat David Sanders for the District 23 seat in the November general election.
