A Francisco man is charged with Pointing a Firearm at a Gibson County Sheriff’s deputy.
The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says the deputy was dispatched to a home near Francisco Friday afternoon concerning a man who was upset because his dog had been run over by a passing vehicle.
During the conversation 69-year-old Timothy Peavler made a threat to shoot vehicles speeding down his roadway.
When Peavler was asked if he had a firearm on him, Peavler pulled a pistol out of his waistline and pointed it at the deputy.
After a struggle with the deputy, Peavler was taken into custody and charged with Pointing a Firearm at Another Person and Resisting Law Enforcement.
