I-69 Northbound Closed in Greene County for Roadway Repairs

By John Szink Oct 19, 2026 | 7:12 AM

Northbound I-69 in Greene County will remain closed until later today while crews make additional repairs to a hole reported in the roadway.

The closure is at the 94 1/2-mile marker, where traffic was already restricted to a single lane because of a construction zone.

Additional repair work is needed before the lane can safely reopen.

The Indiana Department of Transportation has placed signage and barricades at the site.

Northbound drivers are being rerouted off the interstate at the Bloomfield exit and directed along US 231 to State Road 58, then to State Road 45, which provides access back onto northbound I-69.

Officials urge motorists to allow extra travel time because of the detour.
